Our mission at Irvine ITG is to empower students with the technical capabilities required to excel in the fields of finance and investment banking. We believe that skills-based education is the key to high-performance and success in these competitive fields, and we are committed to providing a platform for our members to learn, grow, and succeed.
Our goal is to establish UC Irvine as a top target school for careers in finance and investment banking. We are committed to building a strong and diverse community of like-minded individuals who through education, mentorship, and hands-on experience will progress toward becoming successful professionals in these fields. To achieve our mission and goals, we offer a range of programs and events designed to provide our members with the tools they need to succeed. Development ProgramWe offer a 7-week curriculum focused on equipping our members with technical knowledge of investing, corporate finance equations & principles, and other skills to prepare them with valuable experience in practices related to finance-related careers.
Investment TeamBi-annual stock pitch competitions to gain insightful hands-on experience focused on industry-specific coverage groups, with multiple teams within each coverage group researching and valuing a company within their industry, then presenting their valuation to Portfolio Managers and the Executive Board.

Speaker Events & Professional WorkshopsExclusive access to speaker events and professional workshops is offered to ITG members, with the aim of providing valuable insights, networks, and perspectives on finance-related careers- preparing them for success in the financial industry.
UCI's Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF)Our highest-tier program intended to give the top performing students across UCI including undergrad, masters, and PhD candidates the opportunity to manage a $100,000+ portfolio for the Chartered Financial Analyst Society of Orange County (CFAOC), the largest fund on campus.
